Welcome to the homepage of the Embassy of Hungary in Prague.

It is our pleasure to be at your service in matters concerning either Hungary or the cooperation between Hungary and the Czech Republic.

The Hungarian-Czech relations are not only characterized by bilateral economic, cultural, touristic and social connections, but also by different forms of regional and multilateral cooperation. The Czech Republic is considered an honorary neighbor of our country, as well as a good partner and an important ally for Hungary in both NATO and the European Union.

I hope that through this homepage we will be able to contribute to and solidify the traditionally good relationship between our two nations. We also wish to help both for Hungarian citizens and those who are interested in our country or need further information.

Please be informed that under the Act on the General Rules for the Entry and Right of Residence of Third-Country Nationals, unless otherwise specified by provision, no applications for a residence permit or for an interim/a national/an EU residence card (former interim/national/EC permanent residence permits) may be submitted between 1st January 2024 and 29th February 2024.
